Did I tell you that my step-grandma has a Deaf brother? Yeah, she didn't talk much about him until he decided to come visit here in Phoenix, Arizona. He is from Idaho, and I think he went to ISDB. Now, he is a funny, old man. If you only knew some jokes he told... I still chuckle when I think of him.
Anyway, he is an amazing guy who makes wonderful things out of wood. Sometimes he makes serving dishes out of wood, and sometimes he makes toys like the spin-top. When he was here visiting, he gave me one. Recently, my grandparents went travelling across a few states for a couple of weeks. They went to visit their Deaf brother and he gave them something to give to me. A wood-handled whistle. He told them to tell me it is for getting hearies' attention! LOL! I tested it and blew hard. My mom cringed and said that'll grab everyone's attention for sure.
Cool!
Another thought, I have been playing around with an idea to see if I can sell his woodcraft online. What do you think? Would you buy wood carved items? If I can get access to his other wood items, I should take some pictures and post them here!

The items are very lovely, and I'm sure you could find an excellent market for them online, whether through eBay or otherwise. Good luck!
