It's my life... Don't you forget...
It has been a long while since I have posted something personal. Everytime I post a personal opinion or a rant, I get burned by other people. I am not out to get revenge! I am out to tell the truth, and usually, truth hurts.
I went to Arizona for several weeks. I came back to Utah after I re-evaluated my relationships and friendships with everyone I know of. I have decided to cut my losses, get rid of toxic people and start being healthy for once. I am putting my health and sanity first. If I suddenly stopped talking to you, it is probably one of the following: one, you don't talk to me so I won't waste yours or my time, two, I got tired of being the 'giver' in this one-way road to friendship, or three, you're a disrespecting asshole, plain and simple.
A lot of people got me riled up and angry inside. It is my fault I let that affect me. I didn't like feeling like this at all. I have a list of things and issues I want to get off my chest. On top of my shit list is my church members. People at church haven't been good to me, saying that I don't deserve spiritual support just because I don't attend their services. That really made me feel very unwelcome. I believe in the gospel with all my heart and soul. They would never take that away from me, so I transferred to another church of the same religion so I can get my membership back. Remember, folks, if you get mad at the church, it is the PEOPLE, not the religion! The sole reason I haven't been going to my church for over a year is because of my exwife and her husband. They have been nothing but problems for me, the church and their friends. Some of their friends have come up to me upset with my ex and her hubby. What can I do?? What can I say?? She left me and it was her choice. It is her own messed up life and I want nothing to do with it. Her husband assaulted me at a store Last December. A day later, I went to the church's Christmas party, he was there, threatening me with that I-am-better-than-you-and-I-am-gonna-kick-your-ass-bad-boy attitude. My former roommate witnessed his behavior and knew I couldn't attend church as long as my exwife's husband is around. While I was in Arizona, I came across news that she is leaving him! Honey, I know you left me because marriage was "too hard". And, now, you're leaving for the second time, because you realized being with me was easier. I really feel bad for my exwife's soon-to-be second exhusband. Dude, we could start our own Exhusbands' Club! I think he would have been in a lot of less problems if he had watched himself around our exwife. She is not worth your time or my time, dude. She just want a sperm bank and she got it. It's a sad life to live. Hell, yeah!! I am somewhat bitter because I wasted 6 years of my life on my exwife. Now, I am moving on to better things and making sure I don't get that ball and chain again.
I am not afraid to tell people I either like or don't like them. The only people I have no problems with are my best friends, their spouses, my current roommates and their dates. With everyone else, they'll have to earn my trust. My trust in many people was lost very fast in the past several months. My former best friend has been "taking" from me, wasted most of my time and patience. He yelled at me a month ago that I am not being a friend, and I yelled back that he hasn't been a good friend to a lot of people, especially me since last year! I do have a heart of gold and my weakness is my willing to help others when they need it. Thanks to others who took my trust away, I am more cautious around others.
Right now, I am pretty tired and wired. I am gonna take a nap and finish my post later tonight.

Recipe
I made the cookies from Pacific Chai. When I tried to make the batter, it came out too fine and crumbly. It didn't look normal, so I made some alterations. The results are great!! Buttery, soft and slightly chewy Chai cookies. Yum!!
Chai Butter Cookies
1 c unsalted butter at room temp
1/2 c chai powder
2/3 c sugar
1 large egg
1 3/4 c all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Whip butter until light and fluffy. Add chai powder and sugar. Whip again until light and fluffy. Add one egg and blend well. In another small bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Pour flour mixture into the chai batter and mix slowly. Cover batter and put in refrigerator to chill. Set oven to 400 degrees. Take the chilled batter out of the refrigerator. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Put on greased cookie sheet 4 inches apart. Take a fork or a cookie press and flatten the cookie dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 18 or more cookies.

Hot Daisies or Hot Mesas
Biscuit:
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, room tempurature
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 dried bell peppers
1 teaspoon dry diced onion
3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cup buttermilk
Filling:
1 packet taco seasoning
1 lb. ground beef or diced chicken
1/2 cup water
Directions:
Brown the meat and drain. Add one packet taco seasonings and water. Heat until the liquid is almost gone. Set aside. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in buttermilk and 1 cup shredded cheese; knead dough gently. Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with a 2-1/2-inch, biscuit cutter and place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Top each biscuit with taco seasoned meat. Sprinkle with cheese. Top with a second layer of biscuit and press down to make "sandwiches". Bake at 450 degrees for 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown. Top with extra cheese to melt. Depending on the thickness of the batter rolled out, it makes between 18 to 36 pieces.
Stick 'em up, baby!

Mountain Dew's latest is a dud
You can go ahead and buy Mountain Dew's Pitch Black. I bought it last night and tasted it. It's nothing to be scared of. The flavor is not the best one I have tasted so far from Mountain Dew's variety. When I think of Mountain Dew's Pitch Black, I think of kool-aid grape plus regular Mountain Dew. It's a sucky dud.

Boo!
A couple of weeks ago, my brother, his wife and 3 kids were staying at my parents' house. Mom and Dad went camping, so they weren't home. It was getting late at night and a heavy storm was going on, then the lightening hit something in the neighborhood. Of course, the lights went out and it was so dark in the house! My brother found a flashlight. Then We all sat down and played with the light and made shadow puppets with our hands. Their second child, Spencer, is only 2 years old. He was playing with the flashlight and started flicking it on and off and on and off and on and off.. *sigh!* You know how ANNOYING it gets with Deaf people, and I am Deaf! I muttered to my brother that it is annoying the heck out of me because it is a Deaf thing. He turned to Spencer and told him that I don't like it when he flicks it on and off repeatedly. Spencer looked at me and I said, "If you do that one more time, you are going to be sorry!" Spencer only smiled and flicked the flashlight off. In the dark, I quickly shuffled forward until I was VERY close to Spencer. He flicked it on and I quickly said a calm, "Boo!" It startled him so bad that he didn't know whether he was going to laugh or cry. Poor Spencer spent the rest of the night staying close with his mother!
Pondering..
I have been in Arizona since August 9, 2004. A few days later, it dawned on me that EXACTLY on August 9, 1996 was the day I moved to Utah from Arizona! I don't know if that is a true coincidence. It's whole 8 years of Utah! Wow!! I am impressed I survived that long!

BookCrossing ::
BookCrossing is pretty new to me. It reads:
The "3 Rs" of BookCrossing...
1. Read a good book (you already know how to do that)
2. Register it here (along with your journal comments), get a unique BCID (BookCrossing ID number), and label the book
3. Release it for someone else to read (give it to a friend, leave it on a park bench, donate it to charity, "forget" it in a coffee shop, etc.), and get notified by email each time someone comes here and records journal entries for that book. And if you make Release Notes on the book, others can Go Hunting for it and try to find it!
Hmm, I am thinking about joining this!

IKEA Store!
I am going to the IKEA Store next week in Arizona! I can't wait to finally start organizing my fabrics! I have like 5 boxes full of fabric sitting around in fugly cardboard boxes. I am surprised I let the fabrics build up and I never use them. It is about time they come out of the boxes into the light and good use!
