The new secretary's gonna be mad. Hehehehehehe!
She just started working for the IPP/ASL Dept. I think she's cool.
And she also reminds me of my favorite cousin in Utah... Hmm. I better try going to Utah sometime soon!

I can't wait for a scan from Gnarlydorkette! She took a picture of me and from the description she used, I think I may use that pic for my main entry page or blog layout. Can't wait!P.S. I'm still buggin' VeeKoz for the pics!! I still haven't seen them yet. She'll be at my apt this weekend, so maybe I'll get the pics then. :D
I've always had a thing for shirts that are totally different and has a lot of texture. I was watching "Ichi the Killer" movie, which was a little confusing to watch. Overall, the movie wasn't bad, rather a sad one to watch. Anyway, one of the bad guys had on this shimmering, silver suit and a dark pink, long-sleeved, sequined, button-up shirt. I have to admit, I like the shirt a lot, but don't like it in pink. Pink clothes makes me think of Pepto-Bismol. Yuck.
So, yeah.. If that shirt was only in blue...
This is one of those cool, artistic mysteries. Someone spraypainted spiders coming out of the storm drain. It's close by my apartment.
I thought it was brilliant! Just like that artist who painted his self-portrait on billboards and highway exit signs. Remember him?
You are welcome to quote me on this..
During the summer of 2004, I had an epiphany. I had to choose between life as a Gay man or death as a Mormon man. Had my choice was to be a Mormon, I would not be writing this to you!

On Wednesday of this week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06.
That won't ever happen again in our lifetime.
Hat tip to Bret Cummens for this email!
I went to the Desert Botanical Garden 2 Saturdays ago with Gnarlydorkette and her husband from San Diego. We went to the butterfly exhibit. One "house" was closed and another section was being used by wedding receptions. My friends said there was 2 receptions being run at the garden while I was busy writing down info. I was not able to finish all the commenting and documenting the plant info for my botanical homework.
Anyway, we saw a snake-like cactus and I had this idea to pretend it's attacking me. Gnarlydorkette took a pic! Heh! We had a lot of fun that day and it damn near wore us out!
Enjoy!
Tonight was the Deaf President Now Celebration at Phoenix College!
Angel Ramos and Greg Hlibok were the guest speakers, with an emphasis on Greg's speech about the circumstances during the DPN protest. Despite the problem with interpreters and technical difficulties, I think we pulled it off.
I'll chalk this up to a great, learning experience and hope to prepare myself better next time. After all, this is the second event I managed to coordinate. I need to remind myself, "Successful people go through many mistakes before they succeed!"
Today, I'm running a booth for the ASL PAH club at Phoenix College. I made a sign for my table of an iPod and wrote:
"Got iPod?"
"NOW is the time to learn American Sign Language!"
I've been at my table since 10 am, and it's 30 minutes left until the end of the booth exhibit. During this time I've sat at the booth, I noticed several students with iPods peering at my banner. All of them either tried ducking out of sight, glancing away or slipping their iPods into their shirts as they walked away. Heh! I hope my point comes across to hearing peeps -
"You gotta learn ASL! Your ears are gonna fail you sooner or later!"
More pics from Gnarly. These are pics of Frogotopia doing the spinning. She pointed out, "Do you notice you can flip it thru and it looks like an animated clip?"
Thanks to a great day with Gnarlydorkette and her man! She took some pics of me from when we went to South Mountain's Lookout view. And some more of me spinning fire poi for the second time! Another dark pic of me from the Red Sea Hookah bar we went to. Maurice, VeeKoz and I puffed on blueberry and strawberry while we chatted the night away with Gnarly and her C.
Thanks for the pics, babe! You're awesome!
Frogotopia, Deaf258 (that's me!), Kirsi and her hubby - Clifton, eiffilc, and VeeKoz hanging out at Pita Pit in Tempe, Az.
After we're done, we'll go to Sonia's for a fire show by Frogotopia and myself. Fun to have fellow Deaf bloggers to hang around! ;)
I got this terrible email from my mom the other day. Here it is:
"Here is a photo of some damage from the terrible storm that passed through Arizona the other day.
Most people stayed home and many schools were not in session as a result of this storm. It really makes you cherish our usual balmy climate, and reminds us not to take life for granted.
Warning: Following picture is quite graphic. "
I was riding the bus and a large lady with a few kids waddled past me and sat down. She glanced over as I tried my best to hold my breath and keep a straight face.
OMFG! Her perfume is KILLING me!
Would you rather put up with smelling other people's body odors or would you rather be sniffing people wearing heavy perfume or cologne?
I noticed that I don't like either options, but I don't get a bad, sharp headache from body odors. Some people gotta learn how to use perfume appropriately! Overspraying it makes it very suspicious.
Come on. Seriously! Whenever I catch a whiff of someone wearing too much, first thought ALWAYS cross my mind, "Is that person hiding a dirty poon or ass?! What's he/she hiding so we won't smell it?"
So, if you are guilty of overusing your perfume or cologne, you better think twice! Do you really want me to suddenly think you have a stinky poon or ass when I meet you?
I feel like such a cheap whore on Van Buren selling these rainbow ILY magnets.
These magnets are part of a fundraiser for a Deaf non-profit organization. The ILY magnets are 8 bucks each. They're good for on the back of vehicles, on the front of your metal file cabinets or on your fridge at home.
I have 3 left. Anyone want one? If you already have one but know of someone else who might be interested, please have that person contact me! If I run out, but you want more, I can get more later. Many, many thanks!
P.S. For the people from out of state, I'll pay postage as long as you use PayPal!
P.P.S. Remember.. It is OK to say, "No, thanks!" but it would be so nice of you if you bought one. ;)
On the toilet, I'm so pissed drunk!
Lol! Just had 6 drinks and I'm so drunk than I have ever been in my life. My roommate, Robert, has been chuckling at me. I dunno what he was thinking exactly, but I'll find out in the morning!
Keep in mind that it is not common that I get drunk. I was doing some PR work for www.azrad.org.
I ended up finding another interpreter for a workshop I am setting up in 3 weeks. Yay! 3 interps booked! I can NOW relax more.
And, after going to 2 more bars, I managed to get the names to 2 guys who I see on 2 city buses I ride on who also either go to my school or work nearby my school. Their names are Jake and Matt. Cute guys! ;)
Fuck. I'm gonna go eat then go to bed. See y'all tmw! Xoxoxoxoxoxoxo! Love you guys, even if I like or don't like you, I still love you anyways! Muah!
Yup. It was 145 days of NO rain here at Phoenix, Arizona.. Until TODAY!
Let it rain! Let it rain!
I recently went to Jarmilla's to drop off a flyer for a workshop. We chatted for a few minutes and then after a little while before I left her apartment, she suddenly got confused and commented, "I didn't realize you're taller than I am!"
:-D
I replied with a grin, "you gotta try Pilates, babe!"
Joke #1:
Three gay men died, and were going to be cremated. Their lovers happened to be at the funeral home at the same time, and were discussing what they planned to do with the ashes.
The first man said, "My Ryan loved to fly, so I'm going up in a plane and scatter his ashes in the sky."
The second man said, "My Ross was a good fisherman, so I'm going to scatter his ashes in our favorite lake."
The third man said, "My Jack was such a good lover, I think I'm going to dump his ashes in a pot of chili, so he can tear my ass up just one more time!"
Joke #2:
The question.. What did the lesbian vampire say to the other lesbian vampire?
Give up?? Okay... Check the comments for the answer! ;)
Yes. Robert Allen Patrick has a Bachelor's degree from Illinois State University. Several people said he never got his degree, but here's the proof! I have to admit, though.. Sometimes, I just wonder how the Hell he get it, too!
Do you ever had to deal with friends who don't realize they are really, selfish people?? And they take advantage of you, your services and the things you have?
Really.. I don't understand why I always put up with those kind of people who don't respect me at all!
I've been sick for several days. I'm calling it in at work and school today because I need rest badly. I think I am slowly killing myself with too many things going on this month. I think I am starting to crack. Even though I would love to do all the things I wanted to do for my friends and volunteering for other people or organizations, I realize I have my limits and I am pushing myself physically and mentally too hard. I can't do this alone.
Shame on me.. For not putting my health and sanity first!
It sure needs some serious washing!
I bought it because it reminded me of one of my interpreters. She is so funny and we crack each other up all the time! I miss her already! :(
Anyway, "grower" is an inside joke that she and I share from last year. Teehee!
And, to answer your question, yes.. I'm a grower.
Yay! I just popped my poi cherry tonight!
It's March 3, 2006... And it's my first time to spin poi with fire! I planned and expected to do my first spinning poi with fire during Spring Break when Vee, Gnarly and her hubby are here with me and Maurice. It was so sudden and spontaneous because I happen to be there with my poi. I was more tense and nervous than I was without fire. But I know if I do it again, I won't be as nervous. I ended up doing alright first round. Then second round, I got suddenly tired and worn out from anxiety and thirst, I couldn't do more spinning. I singed off my hair on my right arm and also just a little bit of my hair from the back of my head.
The pictures you see right now.. One is a pic of me with my poi posing as my cherries soaking wet from lamp oil. You can see my old pants and shoes. The next pic is of a guy in some kind of a fire retardant jumpsuit. He's kinda new here, so I dunno who he is. The rest of the pics are of the one and only - Frogotopia! He is SOOOOOOOO great with poi! I hope I can be as good as he is, but with my own style. Thanks for the special night, Maurice! ;) Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!
It's weird that I was 3rd person to perform spinning fire. Three is my favorite and lucky number. And, tonight?? It's the 3rd night of the 3rd month! Isn't that an odd coincidence? I saw the moon setting to the West.. Tonight, it looked like it was smiling.
Also, VeeKoz is SO disappointed she wasn't there to see me do it for the first time. I just realized it's sort of our thing and that bond... *sigh* I'm sorry, babe! I got you a gift, so please forgive me, ok? Enjoy Pennsylvania! ;)
Gnarlydorkette and her hubby, don't worry! You'll still get a chance to see me spin fire! I want the practice first with fire because I don't want to scare you with my flamin' nuts! LOL! See you guys in less than a couple weeks!
