Go check meebo.com. I can use Gtalk (same chat as in Gmail), AIM, YahooIM and MSN Messenger. If you sign up for an account on Meebo, you can log in once and automatically logs you in 4 different IM services! And, best of all, you don't need to download anything! If your school blocks chat sites, you can try some proxy sites and get around it.
