good eatin'!

At a first glance, you would read the neon sign, "Ta o  Sah a o", but upon a closer look, you'll read the painted "Tacos Sahuayo."

Andrew introduced me and Robert to food from shacks or stands on the streets. Some of them would be 24 hours. We went to this one where they sell big burritos for 3 bucks each. There's a lot of meat in their burritos!

Very delicious and great for that midnight hunger pains!

If you're ever in Phoenix, Az, you'll find this shack on wheels near the area northwest of 30th Street and McDowell. It's on the parking lot at the Restaurant Equipment Company.

  1. The best 24-hour Mexican joint in San Diego is in Hillcrest on the corner of Washington Ave and Third Ave. "La Portas" something... a big yellow shack-like joint. They sell $3 to $5 for BIG burritos. They were winners of the city's award for the Best 24hrs-Mexican joint for three years in a row... didn't win this year, I think. But it is a popular spot-- even at 2am, there is still a LINE!
