vlog 0002: anonymous bunnies.

I know I was supposed to talk about the topic about what is a "friend," but it has been taking some time to get my thoughts out. It's a sensitive issue.

Anyhow, you can still get another topic today about anonymous commentors! I know it is kinda overdue. I made this response to David Eberwein's vlog and other vloggers/bloggers discussion about anonymous commentors. I also explained a bit that I do not allow anonymous comments on my blog.

vlog 0000: popping my vlog cherry.

Pardon me since this vlog is over 10 minutes long! Not too bad for a starting vlog. Hopefully, I'll get the hang of it and make better, clear and faster vlogs for easier loading.

Enjoy!

confessions of an amway brat.

I am going to say this - I REALLY despise Amway-slash-Quixtar! I despise multilevel marketing and matrixes with a passion. I was an Amway brat. What does an "Amway brat" means, you might ask? It meant that when I was a kid growing up, my parents have tried to succeed in selling Amway products, recruiting buyers and sales representatives. I know firsthand and have seen upfront with my own eyes, from my parents' experiences, how damaging MLMs and Matrixes can be to everyone involved. The topmost reason why I hate Amway/Quixtar is it reeks of child labor. It is illegal in USA. I have seen parents force their kids to go door-to-door, trying to sell Amway products! In fact, I remember I had to go door-to-door with my brothers and sisters in the middle of the summer, and we lived in Phoenix, Arizona! Can you imagine the heat?!? With all the wrong things going on with Amway/Quixtar, I have to admit there's only one good thing from that company - I still stand by their L.O.C. soap!

Many friends who have joined MLM/Matrixes have often been upset with me because I consistently refused to join any of their schemes. They badgered me with "why?" - "you lose for missing out a great opportunity!" - "you don't know what you're talking about because you never tried this!" - (and my all-time favorite) "I thought you were my friend!" I have seen more friendships damaged or lost because of those fast cash schemes. After all that crap, I have learned to say one sentence each and every time a new scheme is invented, a friend would try to get me to join. I would put on my best smile with a twinkle in my eye and say:

Prove it to me that it works for you and I will join when I see your results!
Guaranteed!

And there are those who aren't satisfied with my answers to why I won't join their scheme. They'd get SO pushy and impatient with me, I'd finally rant at them:

Friends don't *bleep* with their friends' *bleep* and their wallets! So, do yourself and me a big favor - BACK the *bleep* OFF!

I've joined MatrixWatch because my best friend found this forum a few days ago. We were discussing the new team that works with ClubFreedom/RevolvingTravel. There is something different and new about this team. Knowing I would lose 100 dollars, I joined for research purposes and will track the progress into my blog about that group. I want to build a resource to protect the Deaf people's finances. Including Canadian Diamond Traders, Quixtar and Club Freedom, other 'get rich quick' schemes have also easily found their victims among the Deaf community repeatedly, daily, weekly and yearly. I wish I knew the exact amount of money the Deaf community has lost to those MLM/Matrixes/Product Redistributors.

I am constantly sick and tired of finding out my Deaf friends have lost a bundle of money into scams. If you have some information or advice I could incorporate into my personal research and reports, please share with me though PMs. I am trying to decide how to approach this with the Deaf community and create vlogs (video logs) in American Sign Language.

ow.

Hey everyone..

Let you know what happened in the past few weeks.  I ended up in the E.R. in the hospital yesterday.

My eyes have been bothering me for a month, then I started having pressure building up in my eye about a week ago.  It started to hurt a bit about 3 days ago.  Then, yesterday morning, when I woke up, it felt like someone punched my eye so hard.  Blinking and feeling the rawness, I knew right away this wasn't pink eye because there are no crusty residue and the eye didn't have that usual itching.  I went ahead and got ready for school.  During my Health & Wellness class, I asked my teacher out of curiosity what she thought of the spot on my eye.  She gasped, said it is not pink eye and could be an infection of some sort.  Her suggestion was that I am to go to E.R. as soon as possible to get my eye taken care of.  I took the rest of the day off from school so I could go to the hospital.

The hospital visit wasn't too bad.  It was under 3 hours long.  The M.D. doctor said I have Subconjunctival Hemorrhage.  He gave me a paper about it.  It is a result of a broken blood vessel in the white portion of the eye.  It is usually painless (yeah, right - it still hurts!) and may be caused by minor injury to the eye.  Also, coughing, sneezing or vomiting can cause this.  Although it can look frightening, it is not serious and the blood will be reabsorbed without treatment within 2 to 3 weeks.

He didn't prescribe anything.  A nurse took me to the eye institute part of the hospital to make sure my eyes are okay.  The eye doctor gave me some eye drops that dilated my pupils.  I went through a series of tests.  He said my eyes are okay for now, but will need to come back in 1 or 2 months for a vision field test to see if I am in the early stages of glaucoma.  It is odd though on how I got that broken blood vessel.  I didn't cough, sneeze or vomit.  My bowel movements is fine.  I never got hit in the eye nor touched it.  Frankly, I am stumped on how this happened to my eye!  I hope it goes away soon.

I hope my vision comes back to normal with no irritation or pain.  Please remind me in a couple weeks if you want to know if my eyes got better or not.  Anyway, enjoy the pics!
