Now the Deaf cat is asleep in my lap.

inspiration.
Thanks to my close friend, Vee, for this picture!
I think I've gotten the inspiration to create a blog layout and actually use it!
It is a picture of me spinning poi. You can learn all about poi here - http://homeofpoi.com.
learn to be a respectful driver.
I really don't like snobby, rich people driving. They never watch where they're going with their ears married to their cellphones. They're also rude when it comes to pedestrians at the crosswalks! This guy is well-deserved! ;) |

The Wreckers - "Leave the Pieces"
Thanks to Larry for sending me this song! It really fits my situation! Xoxo!
Leave The Pieces
You're not sure that you love me
But you're not sure enough to let me go
Baby it ain't fair
You know you just keep me hanging round
You say you don't wanna hurt me
Don't wanna see my tears
So why are yous till standing here
Just watching me drown
And it's alright
Yeah, I'll be fine
Don't worry about this heart of mine
Just, take your love and hit the road
Cause nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go
Now you can drag out the heartache
Baby you can make it quick
You can get it over with and let me move on
Don't concern yourself with this mess you left for me
I can clean it up you see
Just as long as your gone
And it's alright
Yeah, I'll be fine
Don't worry about this heart of mine
Just, take your love and hit the road
Cause nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go
You're not making up your mind
It's killin' me
You're wasting time
I need so much more then that
And it's alright
Yeah, I'll be fine
Don't worry about this heart of mine
Just, take your love and hit the road
Cause nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go
Leave the pieces when you go
Leave the pieces when you go
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Leave the pieces when you go

wanna buy one?
I'm making duct tape wallets. Right now, I have neon green, neon orange, and royal blue. If you want a different color, you'll have to wait a bit longer so I can order more colors when I have a chance.
If you are local, you can buy one for 15 dollars. But, if you need it packed and mailed to you, then add 5 more dollars, which is a total of 20 dollars.
Contact me via email or AIM. The links are provided on right side of this blog. If you have any questions, feel free to add a comment or email me!
Funds will be used for supporting my artistic pursuits. I'll keep you posted!

many thanks.
I want to thank Larry for bringing up this movie in his blog a while ago. But, it was Frogotopia who gave me a real, hard kick in the ass to watch the movie, "What the Bleep do We Know!?"
Wow. I cannot emphasize how much we should really watch that movie and learn to see religion and science in a new light.
Thanks guys!
missing someone.
I'm missing a good friend of mine. She's so FUN to play games with. Deaf Mafia, War, Monkey King, what-if-then, and many more to count.
Right now, I'm SO in the mood to play a game involving these cards!
a book.

pondering moments.
After six days of being in Baltimore and Washington, D.C., I realized a recurring issue I have with certain people.
Is it too much to ask for honest friends who value love, trust, friendship and integrity?
Maybe I just suck at relationships and is doomed to die a lonely, bitter, old man.
Yes, I'm in a pissy mood right now. Goodnight.

one of my loves.
I took some pics 2 days ago on my flight from Phoenix to Baltimore.
I love to see the clouds and the vast blue skies, sometimes the surface of the earth. It's the moments like this one which reminds me how life is fragile and nature is beautiful.

Extra special thanks with sugar coating on it to Gnarlydorkette for her picture she took of me!
It is such an awesome pic! I'll be sure to scan it before I frame it. I want to use this pic as the main picture for my website!
Thanks, Gnarly! Xoxo!

last first friday.
Because of being in the hospital and medicated, I didn't feel safe to do a fire show. However, I went to Maurice's fire show about 11 pm for Phoenix's First Friday Art Walk. Another lady also did a fire show as well.
When we were done with the night, we walked out of the Firehouse studio. I saw a short poem on the wall out front. I took a picture to remember what the poem or quote said. Anyway, Maurice and I went to my place to eat mexican dinner and watch a movie, 'Final Fantasy: Advent Children'. That movie was kick Ass! You'll have to play Final Fantasy VII game before you watch the movie, or you'll never get the plot. We chatted all night 'til about 6 am! I think we didn't mind because it would be a long time before I'll see Maurice/Froggie again.
I'm gonna miss him and other friends here in Arizona!
FK it.
I'm still trying to pack for a move to Baltimore, Maryland. But DAMN the emotional distractions!!!
A situation happened yesterday that left me disgusted with certain hearing people. I hope I'll never have to deal with this kind of situation again!
So, sue me if I am protective of my Deaf peers!

ow.
I feel so crude and morbid right now.
I just woke up from getting my colon explored! They injected some air so my colon inflated like a clown's twisty balloons. I'll tell you.. It was PAINFUL!
Anyway, I'm on my way to my mom's for some TLC and food. Then, I'll be home at my place for a little rest and packing the last things for my move to Baltimore, Maryland.
Now, I'm faaaarting. And faaaaarting. Away!
Don't worry, it's unscented.

a letter to burn.
Here's an open letter to the burners in Baltimore!
Hey guys!
I am kinda new to poi, too. I've already met Kate and one more lady (forgive me for not remembering the name! :-\ ). But I've enjoyed meeting them at Winter Solstice (did I get that location right?). Holy crap! It was freakin' C~O~L~D that night! Kate will remember me as the Deaf dude from Phoenix, Az. Hello, Kate! :) It was funny to see you guys talk about sounds and speakers. I dunno how that'll benefit me because I'm really Deaf. ;) I've never had to try to go with the recorded music. Because, for the First Fridays' Art Walks, we have a live band playing our fire shows at the Firehouse studio. The band try to match the fire performers' tempo so it's always dynamic and usually in sync.
There was this Phoenix Deaf guy who goes by his playa name: Froggie. I met him over a year ago and he introduced me to poi. I played around very little with poi, But I started practicing after I bought my first poi set last August 2005. My practicing schedule was not consistent until after I got back from my visit to Baltimore last February. I've done my first fire at the Phx Art Walk on March 3, 2006. All I can say it was a great learning experience and lots of burnt hair. ;) Fortunately, no pain came out of it! But Froggie wasn't satisfied, so he demanded I have a weekly schedule with him for practicing and trying new moves. That helped a lot! If you guys plan to go to Burning Man this year, Froggie and my best friend will be there with Arizona's Sol Tribe. Look for the thin Deaf guy spinning awesomely with flexible moves. He makes poi look so easy and flawless!
Last Monday was my 5th time to do fire and noticed I did WAY better then I did on March 3. I am supposed to do one more this Friday, but due to a doctor's visit and meds, I can't put myself in risk. I'd be thrilled if I am able to join, practice and perform this summer! I'll be living in Pikesville area of Baltimore.
Can I come see you guys? I have some things planned this month like volunteering to be a special service provider for the Deaf-Blind Conference in Towson. But, if I am free on Sundays, I'll be sure to come?
Philip
